Global Health Bootcamp 2025

Global Health is a dynamic and multidisciplinary field that requires continuous learning and adaptability. While academic institutions provide foundational knowledge on health topics, there remains a gap in the practical application of this knowledge in real-world global health settings.

Early- to mid-career professionals often lack opportunities to develop critical soft skills such as diplomacy, negotiation, cross-sectoral communication, and advocacy which are essential for effective representation at national, regional, and global forums. The Global Health Bootcamp aims to address this gap by providing a platform for participants to deepen their understanding of global health architecture, build practical competencies, and engage in interactive, peer-driven learning.

This initiative will support Thailand’s future global health leaders by equipping them with both the technical knowledge and the soft skills needed to contribute meaningfully to international health dialogue and policy processes.

Objectives

  1. Enhance participants' understanding of Thailand’s health system and its role in global health governance.

  2. Strengthen practical skills in communication, negotiation, and cross-sectoral engagement.

  3. Foster a network of emerging global health professionals across Thai institutions.

Workshop Details

Format: Three-day, in-person workshop.
Tentative Timeline: 20-22 October 2025
Participants: 20–30 early- to mid-career professionals from various institutions in Thailand.

Eligibility:

  • Professionals and students with at least 1-2 years of work experience in global health, health policy, or related fields.

  • Good working knowledge of English.  

Location: Best Western Chatuchak, Bangkok, Thailand.
